ILP Competetion Winner

At a recent “mini” paper competition held at the Derby Conference Centre hosted by the Midland Region of the ILP there were 6 extremely strong entries with varied topics associated with Lighting. This competition is to encourage people not used to public speaking to give a 20 minute presentation on their chosen subject. All papers were well delivered and were judged on content, delivery and presentation. The judging panel was headed by David Burton ILP Vice President Education who joined the Midland Region for the day.

We are pleased to announce that against strong competition James Miles Paper on “The Environmental Impact of Artificial Lighting on Wildlife" took first prize. James was presented with a Shield engraved with his name that he keeps for the next twelve months.
