Lifespan of LED Flood lights

The lifespan of a flood light is measured in hours and is calculated based on the time it takes for the light output to drop to 70% of its original brightness. 

The lifespan of each LED flood light is dependent on the brand and the quality of build. Factors such as the materials used (eg: aluminium v stainless steel), and the quality of the LED chips used, will all affect the estimated lifespan.

With that said, there are external factors which can increase or decrease the lifespan of your lighting. Generally these come down to maintenance, wear & tear, and the operating conditions of the lighting. All of our LED flood lights are built to be weather resistant and are marine grade as standard, but older lights or those from lower quality brands may be affected by prolonged exposure to moisture, extreme temperatures, or damage. The quality of the installation is also an important factor, so we always recommend using certified installers who know the products well.
