Introducing VAILO – The GRP Bollard With Superior Spacings

Design Philosophy

Back at HQ, the Kingfisher Product Design Team wanted to create an innovative solution for both rail and infrastructure sectors. With a requirement for spacings of as many as 8 metres as well as a unique optical system, this is a truly unique bollard.

Following our research and development process we have produced the ground-breaking VAILO bollard. Designed with quality, performance and versatility in mind, VAILO boasts innovation thanks to its unique system utilising a single or twin distribution optimised for pathways.

The Luminaire

Manufactured with premium materials and utilising tier-one components, VAILO features high-grade GRP to ensure all exterior surfaces are non-conductive, perfect for both rail and infrastructure. Featuring a bespoke optical system, it also allows for spacings of up to 8 metres between bollards therefore reducing the number of fixtures needed on site.

The benefits don’t end there... With a ULOR >1%, VAILO is ideal for areas with great environmental and light pollution concerns. Available in both 2700K and 4000K, the bollard will suit both rail and infrastructure locations.

Optics

Symmetrical Area Optic

With a conventional radial distribution, this optic will produce a greater projection than any bollard in the Kingfisher range. The wider footprints are suited to illuminating areas including building entrances, car park perimeters and open urban areas.

Asymmetrical Single Pathway Optic

Using far less energy than any other bollard within the current bollard selection, the narrow one way distribution still maintains a powerful output. The optic is optimised for pathway sidings, rail sidings and linear pathways.

Asymmetrical Twin Pathway Optic

Similarly to the single pathway optic, the twin distribution is low energy and produces a narrow throw for linear pathways, rail sidings and central pathways.
