What is the Kingfisher Eco-Revolution?

From introducing circular models, adapting the Kingfisher Fleet, and improving many of our products to reduce emissions, we’re on the way to become Net Zero by 2025. The Kingfisher Eco-Revolution shows all the work we are doing to improve our environmental impact as part of accepting our corporate responsibility for a more sustainable future.

Company Culture

Kingfisher Lighting and the Luceco Group inspire a culture of sustainability which is reflected throughout our practises. We have made substantial changes across our products and services to improve our environmental impact from how the effects of lighting on our eco-system and wildlife through to the amount of carbon emitted through our products.

Products

According to The Climate Group, LED Lighting produces energy savings of up to 50 – 70% in comparison to older technology and if we made a global switch, we could save over 1,400 million tonnes of CO₂. 

Kingfisher have sold only LED products for several years now but we’re also adopting a circular manufacturing model to ensure all luminaire components can be ‘reused or recycled’ after their lifetime. We also produce datasheets with an Embodied Carbon score and offer TM66 reports for our product range.

Lighting Design Methods

Within all Kingfisher Lighting designs, the expert lighting design team make a conscious effort to reduce the amount of light pollution on sites. Additionally, for sites where environment and wildlife conservation are concerns, they can utilise our single spectrum or DarkSky luminaires to keep pollution and interruptions to a minimum.

Transport

The Kingfisher Fleet operate throughout the UK delivering outstanding service on time, every time. With a FORS silver accreditation, we also have Euro 6 compliance ensuring we reduce emissions and can safely travel to site.
