This edition of the Kingfisher Spotlight focuses on the Marketing Department with our Marketing Product Coordinator – Sam Bridges. Working alongside the Product Manager, Sam helps manage our database systems with updated pricing and products.

How long have you worked at Kingfisher Lighting?

Almost two years.

Have you ever had a different role within Kingfisher Lighting?

I haven’t had a different role, but I did start my role as an apprentice.

What does your job role entail?

My role involves a lot of working alongside our Sales and Projects Teams to provide pricing and coding for both standard and specialist product codes. I communicate often with external suppliers as well as our internal Technical Team to ensure products are feasible and ready to order to the customers specifications.

I also maintain a lot of the product codes within the database ensuring it contains up to date product data and costs for the convenience of our teams as well as the customers.

What’s your favourite thing about being part of the Kingfisher Family?

Kingfisher originally gave me the opportunity to get a qualification whilst at work via my apprenticeship, but the development is ongoing. We have amazing training resources available at our fingertips as well as regular team training to ensure we can perform to the best of our abilities.

What’s your greatest professional achievement so far at Kingfisher?

For me, it was passing my Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship.

What are the values that drive you?

I am determined to do the best possible job I can and am driven by the details in each project. Being proactive and working with the teams to get all the intricate details right is so important in my job.

Give us a fun fact about you.

I attended a cricket event when I was younger, and I held Ben Stokes dog. I didn’t know it was him at the time, but I remember his dog was cute.

What's the most interesting thing you can see out of your office window?

Right now, it would have to be the beautiful British weather.
