The Hub Complex forms part of the wider Nansledan development, a growing new community on Cornwall’s north coast designed around sustainability, mixed-use living and long-term placemaking.

Bringing together a nursery school, offices, retail and shared workspaces, the scheme required a carefully considered exterior lighting solution that supports people-focused design while complementing the traditional Cornish character of the development.

Exterior Lighting Design at The Hub Complex, Nansledan

This project focused on delivering a human-centric lighting scheme that enhances safety, usability and atmosphere while supporting the development’s sustainability goals.

The Solution

Kingfisher Lighting developed a coordinated scheme that integrates seamlessly with the surrounding architecture while delivering reliable, comfortable illumination for people moving through the site.

REVELAMPE luminaires from AEC were selected for their classic styling and modern optical performance, making them ideal for maintaining the traditional aesthetic while achieving high performance.

The luminaires were specified in 3000K to create a warm, welcoming environment, reducing harshness while supporting environmental considerations.

Bespoke bracketry was manufactured in-house to ensure full alignment with the site’s design language, alongside the supply of columns and fuse cut-outs to deliver a complete solution.

Key Outcomes

  • Human-centric lighting design
  • Warm 3000K illumination
  • Architectural integration with traditional Cornish style
  • Bespoke fabrication for improved finish
  • Sustainable, community-focused lighting scheme
