The Project

Located within a sensitive woodland setting, the project required a dark sky compliant lighting scheme that minimised light spill while maintaining safe visibility for residents and staff. Emergency lighting provision was also essential across key areas of the site.

The Solution

A coordinated lighting approach was developed, combining wall-mounted luminaires, bollards and street lighting to ensure consistent illumination across all external areas.

SEMITA Urban wall luminaires were installed around the building perimeter in 2700K, delivering low glare illumination with DarkSky compliance while reducing light pollution. Emergency functionality was integrated to meet project requirements.

VAILO bollards were used throughout gardens and walkways, providing controlled, symmetrical distribution to enhance safety and visual comfort.

For the access road and car park areas, VIVA-CITY PRO luminaires were specified to deliver high-performance, uniform illumination with precise optical control, reducing obtrusive light while ensuring safe navigation throughout the site.

Key Outcomes

  • Dark sky compliant lighting scheme
  • Reduced glare and improved visual comfort
  • Integrated emergency lighting provision
  • Consistent illumination across all areas
  • Warm 2700K residential lighting environment
