Nepicar Park in Wrotham, Kent is home to a £3.5m commercial development comprising warehousing units, trade counters and a range of successful businesses. Designed to suit a more refined commercial occupier, the architectural scheme incorporates high-end materials and detailing not typically found on a traditional industrial estate, creating a strong sense of quality and space throughout the site. Nepicar Park Lighting ProjectShortlisted in the Kent Design and Development Awards, Nepicar Park required a sophisticated exterior lighting scheme that complemented the architect’s vision while supporting safe movement across roadways, car parks and perimeter areas. The SolutionWorking closely with the client, Kingfisher Lighting created a coordinated scheme using wall-mounted luminaires throughout the site, avoiding the use of traditional bollards and column-mounted fittings. Our Lighting Designers selected luminaires with optimum performance and carefully considered optic packages, directing light towards open spaces such as roadways and car parks to support safe and secure traffic movement. GALILEO floodlights were specified for roadways and car park areas, combining stylish Italian design with high-performance output. Reflector-based optics helped deliver the required illumination while significantly reducing glare. QUARTO wall-mounted fittings were used for perimeter lighting, providing efficient illumination across the wider site. A street optic distribution was selected, with emergency back-up included to enhance resilience. LINEA-IN recessed luminaires were incorporated to highlight entrance signage, adding a simple but effective architectural detail to the scheme. Complementing the lighting installation, Kingfisher bracketry and accessories were also integrated into the wider solution, supporting a cohesive finish across the development. Key Outcomes
