Baltimore Wharf
|
Baltimore Wharf, located in the Isle of Dogs, London, is a prestigious mixed-use development comprising residential apartments and retail space, positioned just minutes from Canary Wharf. As a high-traffic urban environment, the scheme required a carefully considered exterior lighting solution to enhance the architectural aesthetic while supporting safe movement across public spaces, walkways and residential areas. Exterior Lighting Design at Baltimore Wharf, LondonThis Baltimore Wharf lighting project focused on delivering a high-performance urban lighting scheme that balances architectural enhancement with user safety, creating a visually striking yet functional environment. The SolutionKingfisher Lighting developed a coordinated scheme combining architectural and street lighting solutions, carefully selecting luminaires that deliver both aesthetic appeal and high-performance output. MASTER luminaires were installed across key areas, providing consistent illumination across walkways and communal spaces while minimising glare through controlled optical performance. A combination of INGROUND, LINEA-IN and KRIO-IN recessed luminaires were used to highlight architectural features and landscaped areas, creating depth and visual interest. RAY downlights were specified at entrances and key access points, delivering clear and welcoming illumination for residents and visitors navigating the site after dark. The result is a cohesive lighting scheme that enhances both the usability and visual identity of this modern urban development. Key Outcomes
