Case Studies
The Hub Complex
Nansledan
Nansledan is a thriving and growing new community, based in the heart of Cornwall’s north coast. The project was born from a desire to create a highly sustainable neighbourhood, hosting a range of homes and businesses.
With 1,200 people and over 40 businesses already situated, the community continues to develop and is set to host over 4,000 homes and a diverse mix of trades by its completion.
The Project
The latest phase of this development includes ‘The Hub Complex’, a place that brings a new nursery school, offices, retail and shared workspaces to the community. Keeping the people as a focal point, the site required a human-centric approach to the lighting scheme whilst ensuring the luminaires blended in with the traditional Cornish aesthetic.
The Solution
To create an elegant aesthetic, we opted for AEC’s REVELAMPE, a classic design encompassing modern technology. Made in Italy, this luminaire provides high-quality illumination through its reflector system, ensuring performance and efficiency.
We supplied the luminaires with a 3000K to create a softer distribution of light for people to roam after dusk. This colour temperature not only benefits the people but also the wider environment, protecting and promoting flora and fauna as per the project’s sustainability strategy.
The bespoke bracketry throughout the site was created at our in-house fabrication facility to ensure the best possible finish. We also provided the columns and fuse cut-outs, ensuring all aspects of the lighting scheme were covered.
Overall, The Hub Complex has a sophisticated lighting scheme that matches the site's traditional Cornish aesthetic and encompasses both human-centric and eco-centric values.
