Perfect for any modern golfer, this contemporary development pays homage to the iconic Scotland scenery with architectural features such as cedar cladding and sloped roofs.

Situated near the coast, Dundonald Links required a modern lighting scheme to compliment the elegant accommodation as well as withstand the potential high winds and salt spray. There was also a need to illuminate pathways and roadways around the site and lodges to prioritise safety.

The Project

Following an initial consultation, the Kingfisher Lighting team wanted to match the aesthetics of the complex with a sophisticated scheme, combining colour temperatures specifically chosen to boost human-centricity throughout the site. Additionally, we maximised protection of luminaires and columns by providing them with a marine grade finish to ensure long lasting, durable fixtures.

The Solution

Enhancing functionality for the roadways, 11 x stirrup mounted and 6 x post top AURIGA 2.0 luminaires situated on 5M columns with marine grade RAL 7024 Graphite Grey finish. The AURIGA’s modular system allowed an excellent output and allowed a safe, low glare illumination boasting safety across the site.

To establish a perfect harmony between the architecture and lighting scheme, we placed Klou 180 bollards around the lodges. This Italian bollard exudes high quality and features a sleek design to compliment the site. With low lighting levels, the luminaire produces a low glare illumination in 3000K to allow the greatest distribution possible.

The site received a sophisticated lighting scheme that blends effortlessly with the architecture. The contrasting colour temperatures allow the perfect ambience where needed especially around the lodges.
